She is a dedicated leader who gives her full commitment to every activity she pursues, including marching band, Girl Scouts, serving as class vice president, and participating in the school musical. As a Computer Science Ambassador with Girls Who Code, she promotes greater female participation in STEM and helps lead coding nights for elementary students to spark early interest in technology. Elissa plans to expand her community impact by creating a mural and website highlighting STEM opportunities.
Elissa Adamo
He exemplifies the values of the Lena Padovano Memorial Scholarship through his dedication to service and leadership. An active member of both his church and school communities, he has served as a Sunday school leader for four years and regularly volunteers with Rise Against Hunger, helping package meals for those in need. At school, Lucas is a Take Action Peer Leader, President of the Bio-Recycling Club, and a National Honor Society tutor, while also competing on the tennis team.
Lucas Trotta
She embodies the spirit of community and kindness celebrated by this scholarship. Deeply involved in Girl Scouts, Pep Club, student government, softball, school musicals and dramas, choir, and aftercare, she is a familiar and positive presence throughout the school. She also generously volunteers at community events such as Trunk or Treat, Community Day, the 7th Grade Bagel Breakfast, and the Harvest Festival. Her energy, dedication, empathy, and compassion for others truly make her shine.

She exceeded the qualifications for this award through her exceptional commitment to service and leadership. She channels her passion for dance into meaningful outreach as a Donate2Dance Ambassador, organizing collection drives that support underprivileged dance students locally and internationally, and participating in the Ballet Academy East “Big Sister” program. In her local community, she serves as a Meals that Heal Coordinator at her church and as the NHS Tutoring Chair.

Kathrine Roman
Kathrine Roman embodies the values of the LPMF Scholarship through her various accomplishments in the community and participation in school activities. Her volunteerism at the Depot Gift Shop helped increase store exposure and maximize sales through her use of social media. Her involvement in school clubs included Artists in Action and Math League. Her future plans are to participate in “Engineers without Borders” to help those less fortunate.

Anja Lubbe
Anja Lubbe has made a large impact on a small community. Through her volunteerism tutoring students at NHS she made a major impact on one particular student, an English Language Learner, who helped Anja have a new appreciation for the cultural differences and the challenges people face when entering a new country. Throughout high school, Anja participated well in school and community activities. Her involvement included being a class officer, a member of the National Honors Society, volunteering at church, and membership to clubs like: Artists in Action, Girls who Code, and Bio-Recycling Club. Something Anja is genuinely passionate about is encouraging young women to participate in STEM fields. Through her participation in various activities, she's discovered a life-long passion for innovation and research to benefit greater society.

Toby Reicher
She positively affected the community through her role as a karate instructor, assistant coach to a track clinic, MCPE camp counselor, president of the National Honors Society, a member of both the track and tennis team, as well as a member of both the concert and marching band. No matter how busy she was through her participation in her various activities, she never hesitated to help out others.
Toby’s selflessness shines through everything she does, especially when she volunteers to help a friend accomplish his Eagle Scout award, or volunteered to become a special needs personal aid. Not only did she regularly give the family a much-needed rest from caregiving, but she also took it upon herself to learn the complicated medical procedures associated with the specific care for this child. Her plans in the future are to study immunology, so she can continue to help others.

Alyssa Cornetta
Alyssa established Thrive, a new club, for 7-12 graders, with the goal to spread awareness for the greater need of teen mental health and wellness.
Alyssa also served as the French Club President, Editor of the MPHS Yearbook and contributed to MPTV and the school newspaper, served on the Student Senate Executive Board, earned her Girl Scout Silver Award, participated in Varsity Track and Volleyball and held a job for two years at a local toy store!
Alyssa will be attending the University of Delaware, where she plans to continue her passion for community service and mental health

Gemma Rosso
In high school, Gemma served as the Treasurer of the MPHS Senate and the Yearbook Committee Business Editor. She earned her Girl Scout Silver Award, participated as a member of the Art Club and Pep Club, and was the Captain of the MPHS Girl’s Soccer Team.
Gemma will be studying at The College of New Jersey in Trenton and plans to continue volunteering on campus.

Patrick Sharo
Patrick Sharo has proven his leadership skills while serving our community through his education and working as an Emergency Medical Technician. At the age of 16, Patrick was capable of working emergency scenes, whether assessing, triaging, or aiding in transport. Patrick also advanced through the Boy Scout ranks to achieve the highest status of Eagle Scout. His service project benefited and beautified the community by fundraising for and producing outdoor seating areas throughout the town. Besides participating in community-minded events such as Beautification Day and food drives, Patrick proved to be a leader and a role model to other scouts by holding various leadership titles within his troop and his work at Camp NoBeBoSco

Emma Douma
Emma is immensely dedicated to volunteer work, her involvement included: working as a leader in a summer church bible school camp, volunteering at a softball youth program, visiting and doing arts and crafts for seniors at a memory care facility, working at a children's retreat for the disabled and traveling to the Dominican Republic to help enhance villages with paint, food, and prayer.
Emma maintained a high school scholar-athlete record and overcame a physical injury that set her back several months with a positive attitude and perseverance. In addition, she was a role model for her teammates and those she met through her many community-based experiences..

Sean Furlong
Sean Furlong is the co-creator of "GivingTuesdayFriends," an organization that collects and distributes donations for women and children who have survived domestic violence. This organization has grown to encompass contributions from several towns and the Midland Park School student council and has often contributed to other local charitable establishments. He also volunteered at the St. Paul's Men's Shelter, preparing and serving food. In addition, Sean became a New Jersey Student Advisory Ambassador for three years to offer his voice to NJ high school athletics. He participated in a trip to the National Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis, IN. In addition to this, Sean tutored and mentored younger classmates.
